Job Overview JOB DESCRIPTION The Associate Contract Management Specialist supports global projects utilizing existing Contract Management practice and procedures to assist in routine or standard problems and assists in maintaining projects in line with procedures. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, as well as interaction within multi-disciplines teams on large scale projects. Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities Contributing to the on-time delivery of the projects that McDermott execute. Support the Contracts Management team of various projects on activities (related to contract matters). Assist in implementing procedural requirements relevant to project contracts management – ensuring project adherence to relevant contractual procedures. Assist in the development and maintenance of a centralized Contracts Management Portal to serve as a central repository for the global contracts management organization working on projects worldwide, Maintain data schedules, contract records and assist in reporting requirements. Assist in recording contractual correspondence and drafting basic notices – coordinating with project management and other disciplines to ascertain facts and supporting information. Potential to assist in pre-contract activities to support in development of projects prior to award. Documentation control, compliance tracking and reporting. Supporting in assessing, reviewing, and reporting contractual risks for individual items under the project contracts. Assisting with Change management. Assisting with review of subcontractors and suppliers contractual documentation and records. Develop interface relationships with project supply chains and the interlinks between various contracts/subcontracts. The Associate Contract Management Specialist will perform an entry level role to support and undertake contract management matters on large scale energy infrastructure projects. In particular during the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project execution phases with multi-discipline interface. The associate will gain development opportunities and on project experience with support in professional development and training. Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Education Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and build relationships with more senior employees and multi-discipline and multi-national teams and gain respect from others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong numerical and data analytical skills. Team player with a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Diligent and highly motivated with strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to pay attention to details and maintain accuracy in assessing, quantifying and resolving matters. Ability to present and articulate complex situations and circumstances to stakeholders with varying backgrounds. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in parallel, and manage time effectively to achieve project goals. Strong contract acumen and awareness with an ability to assess variables and determine the optimum outcome. Willingness to learn new concepts and adapt to new challenges, and understand the wider perspective of project execution and contracts management. Ability to work in a global environment with different nationalities and ethnicities. Ability to thrive under pressure and use initiative. Willing to contribute to a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, actively seeking learning opportunities, and demonstrating a positive attitude towards work and colleagues. Qualifications: Bachelor's / Post Graduate Degree with background in Contract Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering. It is preferable to have zero-two (0-2) years exposure of working experience (including internship) in Contracts Management or similar experience and roles in EPC energy or infrastructure projects, construction or supply chain. Fluent in the creation and editing of all Microsoft Office Suite documents. About Us Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
