QS and Billing Engineer

About the Role

The QS and Billing Engineer is a critical on-site position at Malhotra Realty Private Limited, responsible for managing quantity surveying and billing activities across various projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), performing rate analysis, and verifying contractor and vendor bills against approved drawings and specifications.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams and site staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for residential and commercial projects.
• Perform rate analysis to ensure accurate measurement and documentation for civil, MEP, and finishing works.
• Verify contractor and vendor bills against approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor quantities, track variations, and maintain updated records in billing systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to validate costs and support budget control.
• Assist in tender preparation, support cost estimates, and contribute to timely project reporting and compliance with company standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong quantity surveying capabilities, including experience with BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying for residential and commercial projects.
• Proficiency in rate analysis and Billing Systems, with the ability to validate and process contractor and vendor invoices accurately.
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in QS and billing roles in the real estate or construction sector.
• Knowledge of construction practices, tendering processes, and contract conditions.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and competence in using MS Excel and other project or billing software.
