About the Role
As a Data Analyst - Hotels at MakeMyTrip, you will be responsible for analyzing data related to hotel bookings, cancellations, and customer preferences to identify trends and insights that can inform business decisions. You will work closely with the hotel operations team to provide data-driven recommendations to improve hotel performance and customer satisfaction. Your day-to-day tasks will involve data extraction, cleaning, and visualization using SQL, MS Excel, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze large datasets related to hotel bookings and customer behavior using SQL and MS Excel.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations using Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the hotel operations team to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for hotel performance.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by identifying and addressing data inconsistencies and errors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, MS Excel, and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of Python programming language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
