About the Role
This Payroll & Compensation Accountant role at a leading commerce company involves managing the day-to-day operations of payroll and compensation, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and performing audits to ensure the integrity of financial data. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient financial operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll and compensation for employees, including calculating salaries, bonuses, and other benefits.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements, including filing tax returns and preparing financial statements.
- Perform audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software applications.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with payroll and compensation software a plus.
