About the Role
A Fabrication Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all fabrication operations to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, timely delivery, and strict adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and coordination skills to handle teams, processes, and resources effectively within a manufacturing or workshop environment. Plan, schedule, and oversee all fabrication activities to meet production targets Supervise fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Manage and coordinate teams of fabricators, welders, and technicians Allocate work, handle shift planning, and provide training to the team Ensure optimal use of manpower, machines, and materials Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks efficiently Maintain quality standards and minimize defects, rework, and wastage Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and compliance Enforce safety regulations, PPE usage, and conduct risk assessments Control production costs and improve operational efficiency Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for smooth workflow Use ERP systems, basic AutoCAD knowledge, and Excel for tracking and reporting Ensure timely completion and delivery of fabrication projects
