Junior Video Editor - Talking Heads

About the Role

This Junior Video Editor role at kulfi involves working directly with the founders and content team to create engaging talking-head content for Instagram and YouTube. You'll be responsible for editing and sometimes shooting real content within your first week, with direct feedback from the team.

The role is hands-on from day one, with a focus on learning fast and executing quickly. You'll be working with AI video tools like Higgsfield, Claude, and Sandcastles, and will be expected to develop a consistent visual and editing style across our Instagram talking-head content.

Key Responsibilities

• Helping set up and shoot talking-head videos
• Editing talking-heads for retention, not just for polish
• Cutting out dead air, tightening pacing, and knowing why someone stops scrolling
• Adding captions, basic graphics, and sound design where needed
• Working closely with the person writing and delivering the scripts, so you understand the intent behind each video before you cut it
• Learning our AI video tools (Higgsfield, Claude, Sandcastles) over time

In this role, you'll gain real hands-on experience across shoot and edit, not just sitting behind a timeline. You'll also receive direct mentorship from the content team, fast feedback loops, and exposure to how a fast-moving app builds and runs its own content engine.

As you grow and develop your skills, you'll have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities and move into a bigger content or production role.
