Software Engineer, Platform

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer, Platform based in India.

Responsibilities

You will develop scalable services and APIs that support core platform capabilities, including authentication, payments, subscriptions, analytics, and text-to-speech technologies.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs supporting authentication, payments, subscriptions, analytics, consumption tracking, and text-to-speech services.
• Build and optimize reliable backend systems with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Manage and improve the overall backend API ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration across internal services and external developer APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy, customer needs, and user experience goals.
• Develop enterprise-ready backend solutions and integrations to support B2B customers and customized implementations.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, technical planning, and continuous platform improvements.
• Help identify and prioritize engineering initiatives that maximize business impact while maintaining high software quality standards.

What You'll Need

• Proven professional experience in backend software development using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong experience designing and building scalable RESTful APIs and distributed backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers is a plus.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalability, performance optimization, and secure application development.
• Ability to balance rapid execution with thoughtful technical decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in fully remote, asynchronous environments.
