The Power BI Developer must demonstrate strong hands-on experience in enterprise-scale reporting and analytics, including: Advanced SQL expertise , including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and validating business logic across large datasets Extensive Power BI development experience , including: Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service Dataset, semantic model, and report development Strong proficiency with DAX for measures, calculations, and KPIs Experience designing scalable and maintainable data models optimized for analytics and reporting Proven ability to migrate legacy BI reports (e.g., BIP ) into Power BI while ensuring accuracy and parity Experience developing dashboards that support executive, operational, and analytical use cases Working knowledge of Power BI performance optimization , including model design, relationships, and query folding Experience implementing row-level security (RLS) and role-based access controls Strong collaboration skills to gather requirements, validate outputs, and iterate with business stakeholders
