About the Role

An SAP BASIS CONSULTANT plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of SAP systems, overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP software. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades. Key Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of SAP software and its components, including SAP GUI, SAP Web AS, and SAP NetWeaver.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting SAP system performance, identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP systems with other applications and services.
• Implementing and maintaining SAP security measures, including user authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Providing technical support and training to end-users on SAP software and its applications.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies, releases, and best practices to ensure optimal system performance and security.
• Participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning to ensure minimal downtime and data loss in the event of a system failure.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SAP software and its components, including SAP GUI, SAP Web AS, and SAP NetWeaver.
• Experience with SAP installation, configuration, and maintenance, including system upgrades and patches.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as ABAP, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with database management systems, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
