About the Role

As an AWS SRE (Site Reliability Engineer), you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvements to the system.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure on AWS, including EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of new features and services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with AWS security best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features, and implement them in a way that aligns with business goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Skills & Qualifications

• A strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including deployment, scaling, and management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Certifications in AWS or cloud computing are a plus.
