AI Application Engineer

About the Role

As an AI Application Engineer at Infosys, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications that drive business value for our clients. Your primary focus will be on leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and Prompt Engineering to create innovative solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into various software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using Python, JavaScript, Java, and TypeScript programming languages.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate machine learning models into software applications.
• Develop and maintain Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI systems for various use cases.
• Implement Prompt Engineering techniques to improve the performance and efficiency of AI models.
• Work with Node.js to build scalable and secure AI-powered applications.
• Contribute to the development of Function Calling APIs to enable seamless integration of AI capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, and TypeScript programming languages.
• Experience with Node.js and its ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI systems.
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering techniques and their applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on AI and machine learning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
