About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications using Java, Go, or similar programming languages.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to ensure high-quality software products.
• Collaborate with a small team to share knowledge, provide feedback, and work on projects.
• Participate in code reviews and iterate based on feedback to improve code quality.
• Develop a deep understanding of distributed systems, including Kafka, and how they are designed and operated.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
• Contribute to the development of software applications that are scalable, efficient, and reliable.

Skills & Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of hands-on software development experience (new grads welcome).
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, and operating systems.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code in at least one modern language (Java, Go, or similar).
• Curiosity about distributed systems and how large-scale services like Kafka are designed and operated.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate closely with a small team.
• Self-starter mindset and ability to ask questions, seek feedback, and iterate based on code review.
