About the Role
As a Human Resources Trainee at HummingBird - Total Talent Workforce Platform, you will be responsible for assisting in the recruitment process, managing employee data, and implementing HR policies. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coordinating with hiring managers, conducting interviews, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be involved in creating and distributing employee communications, such as newsletters and company updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Manage employee data, including maintaining accurate records, updating employee information, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Implement HR policies and procedures, including developing and maintaining employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.
- Conduct new hire orientations and provide onboarding support to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employees, management, and external partners to promote a positive work environment.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and performing other tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including HR software, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and laws, including employment law, labor law, and equal employment opportunity laws.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Certifications in HR, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, are a plus.
