Forward Deployed Engineer, Full Stack - Fintech Airlines - APAC

About the Role

This role is at the center of Hopper's B2B strategy, where you will operate at the intersection of technical architecture and partner deployment. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be responsible for tailoring, scaling, and deploying highly available, globally-scaled systems directly into our partners' platforms.

You will collaborate closely with our B2B partners' technical teams to understand their requirements, design integration architectures, and deploy HTS products seamlessly into their ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with B2B partners' technical teams to understand their requirements and design integration architectures.
• Deploy HTS products seamlessly into partners' ecosystems.
• Utilize AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to rapidly iterate on features using Scala and React.
• Decide how to best adapt and build core systems within the context of our microservices architecture to meet specific partner needs.
• Ship code in days, balancing rapid, partner-facing deployments with long-term code maintainability.
• Act as the technical bridge between Hopper's internal Product, Data Science, and Core Engineering teams and our external partners.
• Execute on massive integration opportunities, directly helping Hopper rise to the top of the global travel industry.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with AI coding tools.
• Knowledge of Scala and React.
• Experience with distributed systems security.
• Cloud experience.
• Microservices architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
