Data Analyst

About the Role

As a Data Analyst at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in extracting, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. You will develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to support business operations.

You will also be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining high levels of data quality and completeness, and elevating data-driven decision-making by querying databases and building models that ensure reliable, scalable insights for reporting and analysis.

This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, data engineering, and Azure concepts, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business operations, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Proactively monitor and maintain high levels of data quality and completeness.
• Develop and support AI-related agent creation for analytics, reporting automation, and business process optimization.
• Work on Azure data engineering concepts including data pipelines, data integration, and cloud-based data processing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data analysis, data engineering, and Azure concepts.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and related tools.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
