Platform & SRE Engineer

About the Role

As a Platform & SRE Engineer at Genpact, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable software systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize platform requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

Day-to-day, you will be involved in monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Your expertise in SRE will help Genpact's software systems remain agile and adaptable to changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software systems using cutting-edge technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize platform requirements.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and scaling of software systems.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.
• Document system architecture, design decisions, and technical debt to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns and testing methodologies.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Basic understanding of database management systems and query optimization techniques.
