About the Role
As a Signal Processing Intern at GE Vernova, you will be working on cutting-edge Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) technologies, collaborating with world-class researchers to develop innovative industrial inspection solutions. Your primary focus will be on AI-driven signal processing, data analysis, and machine learning projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, preprocess, and annotate signal and image datasets for AI/ML model development.
- Develop and optimize AI/ML models for signal classification and denoising using Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or CUDA.
- Design and simulate digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms to improve signal quality and accuracy.
- Perform Fourier, wavelet, and filtering analysis to extract relevant features from signals.
- Test and evaluate AI-based inspection technologies to ensure their effectiveness and reliability.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams to integrate signal processing with other technologies.
- Document technical findings and research outcomes to facilitate knowledge sharing and future projects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Physics, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or CUDA programming languages.
- Knowledge of AI and Deep Learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) concepts, including filtering techniques and Fourier analysis.
- Understanding of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) principles, including convolutional neural networks (CNN) and recurrent neural networks (RNN).
- Familiarity with data collection and preprocessing techniques.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds.
