About the Role

As a Software Intern at GE Healthcare, you will be part of a dynamic team that develops and enhances cutting-edge healthcare software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and modules for healthcare products.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to technical solutions. You will also be responsible for documenting software designs, specifications, and test plans, as well as performing unit and integration testing to ensure software functionality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and modules for healthcare products.
  • Write, debug, and maintain code in various programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, C#).
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to technical solutions.
  • Document software designs, specifications, and test plans.
  • Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software functionality and reliability.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve development processes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Java, Python, C#).
  • Understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
