About the Role
As a Data Science Specialist at GE Health Care, you will be responsible for applying data science techniques to drive business decisions and improve patient outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex data sets, develop predictive models, and implement data-driven solutions. Your day-to-day tasks will involve working with large datasets, developing and deploying machine learning models, and collaborating with stakeholders to communicate insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate insights and recommendations
- Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning
- Develop and maintain high-quality code and documentation
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another STEM discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, Analytics, or related fields
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Proficiency in Python and common data science, machine learning, and AI frameworks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent)
- Exposure to Generative AI and LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals, statistics and probability, data structures and algorithms, and model evaluation techniques
