About the Role
In this role as a Tax Technology Analyst at Ernst & Young, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to identify trends and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will work closely with the tax team to implement and maintain tax technology solutions, streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Your day-to-day tasks will involve analyzing statutory audit reports, performing flux analysis, and preparing financial statements in accordance with IAS and IFRS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze statutory audit reports to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Perform flux analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with IAS and IFRS standards.
- Develop and maintain tax technology solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the tax team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage compliance calendars to ensure timely submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including IAS and IFRS standards.
- Experience with tax technology solutions and compliance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications in tax accounting or financial analysis, such as CA or CMA, are a plus.
