Trainee Software Engineer

About the Role

This Trainee Software Engineer role is ideal for a fresher looking to kickstart their engineering career. As a Junior Engineer, you'll be involved in specific tasks, supported by other engineers to deliver high-quality software products while building your domain knowledge.

You'll be aware of and seek to fully understand the department strategies, practices, toolkits, and processes, ensuring you adhere to the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement software development processes, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software products.
• Adhere to the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor simple programs/scripts, applying agreed standards and tools.
• Participate in reviews to inculcate new ways of thinking to improve design, quality, and productivity.
• Escalate, document, and manage issues related to product design, feature set, and functionality to ensure delivery goals are met.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, models, methods, and tools to enable competitive differentiation and strengthening of existing product technology.

Skills & Qualifications

• Any technical graduation in engineering, computer science, or related fields.
• Preferred post-graduation in advanced computer science subjects and MBA in Systems.
• Proficiency in Agile Methodologies, Scrum, Efficiency improvement, Configuration management, and Release readiness.
• Technical skills in Full Stack development, NET framework, Java, J2EE, Sprint MVC, SQL, BDD, TDD, Cucumber, ADO & GIT, and REST Services.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and build pipelines.
• Emotional intelligence, empathy, motivation, enthusiasm, optimism, collaboration, teamwork, and active listening skills.
