Mobile App Developer Intern

About the Role

This Mobile App Developer Intern role at engineerHUB involves developing and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS, with a focus on AI-powered chat interfaces and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications (Android & iOS) using Flutter or React Native.
• Build AI-powered chat interfaces using Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrate APIs from AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini.
• Implement chat experiences similar to ChatGPT or Slack and integrate external tools and workflows through REST APIs and webhooks.
• Collaborate with backend developers to consume APIs efficiently and ensure responsive UI, smooth performance, and clean application architecture.
• Debug, optimize, and maintain production-quality code.
• Integrate third-party services such as Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Zapier, or Make.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Flutter or React Native.
• Good understanding of Dart or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Push Notifications) is preferred.
• Understanding of state management (Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, Redux, Context API, etc.).
• Knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Experience publishing or building complete mobile applications.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred skills include experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, etc.), knowledge of AI chat applications and conversational UI, and experience integrating third-party services.
