Intern - Indirect Tax

About the Role
In this role as an Indirect Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for completing timely and accurate value-added tax-related tasks, working closely with the Indirect Tax Team. Your day-to-day activities will involve preparation, execution, control, and completion of various responsibilities, including VAT returns, Intrastat reports, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of VAT returns and Intrastat reports and any other relevant documents to local authorities.
- Prepare and analyze supportive documentation for VAT audits.
- Execute internal controls (SOX).
- Create accounting postings in relation to import entries.
- Support the Tax Team with any of the tasks under their responsibility.
- Analyze and resolve VAT-related issues and discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor or master's degree in Accountancy, Fiscal Economics, Fiscal Law, or a similar field.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a strong ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Organized and structured approach to work, with a focus on efficiency and process improvements.
- Proficiency in SAP tools and technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and resolve issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
What You'll Learn
In this role, you will gain practical experience in indirect tax, compliance, audit support, and global process execution. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in SAP tools and participate in reviewing and developing process metrics.
