About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer - I (Data Platform) at Digantara, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data platforms that cater to the company's growing business needs. Your primary focus will be on building and integrating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data processing for efficient insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data platform requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data pipelines using various data processing technologies such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to identify data quality issues and implement data validation and cleansing mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes using cloud-based services such as AWS Redshift, Amazon S3, or Google Cloud Storage.
  • Optimize data processing and query performance using indexing, caching, and other techniques.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Work with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of data platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and science.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Experience with data processing technologies such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts, including data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
