About the Role

In this role as a Data Engineer in Manufacturing Operations, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems to support the manufacturing operations of Daimler Truck AG. This includes working with various data sources, developing data pipelines, and creating data visualizations to inform business decisions. You will be part of a team that drives business growth through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data architectures to support manufacturing operations
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data solutions
• Develop and maintain data visualizations to support business decision-making
• Collaborate with data scientists to develop predictive models and analytics
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with company policies
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and apply them to improve data systems

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
• Experience with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or D3.js
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
