About the Role

This AWS DataZone role involves implementing and managing a data discovery, cataloging, and governance platform for the organization. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data catalogs, business glossaries, and metadata repositories, as well as defining and enforcing data access policies, security, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage AWS DataZone for data discovery, cataloging, and governance.
• Build and maintain data catalogs, business glossaries, and metadata repositories.
• Define and enforce data access policies, security, and governance standards.
• Integrate AWS DataZone with services like S3, Glue Data Catalog, Redshift, Athena, and Lake Formation.
• Enable self-service data access for business users and analysts.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and engineering teams.
• Monitor data usage, lineage, and compliance.

Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS DataZone.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data cataloging, and metadata management.
• Experience with AWS ecosystem: S3 (data lake), AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, and Lake Formation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
