About the Role

Role Summary: The Professor in the Department of Management & Commerce will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, mentoring students and faculty, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting academic administration. The candidate is expected to bring academic excellence, industry insights, and leadership to strengthen the department's academic and research profile. Key Responsibilities: Academic & Teaching Responsibilities Deliver undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Management and Commerce disciplines. Develop and update course curriculum in line with academic and industry standards. Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessment strategies. Ensure effective student engagement through innovative teaching methodologies. Guide and supervise dissertations, research projects, and thesis work. Research & Publications Conduct high-quality research in Management, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or related areas. Publish research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals (Scopus/UGC Care/ABDC/SCI/SSCI indexed journals). Apply for funded research projects, grants, and consultancy assignments. Present papers in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. Mentorship & Student Development Mentor students for academic and career growth. Guide students in internships, live projects, placements, and entrepreneurial initiatives. Encourage student participation in academic competitions, research, and co-curricular activities. Academic Administration Participate in departmental planning, accreditation, and quality assurance activities. Contribute to NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and other accreditation-related processes. Coordinate academic events, FDPs, seminars, workshops, conferences, and industry interactions. Support admissions, examinations, and other university administrative responsibilities. Industry & Institutional Collaboration Build strong linkages with industry, corporate organizations, and academic institutions. Promote consultancy, collaborations, and industry-academia partnerships. Facilitate guest lectures, industrial visits, and practical exposure for students. Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification: Ph.D . in Management / Commerce / Business Administration / related discipline from a recognized university. Experience: Minimum 0–15 years of teaching/research/industry experience as per applicable regulatory norms. Significant academic contributions, research publications, and experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars preferred.
