About the Role

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications to join the India CoE-Integration & Engg CAT IT Division. This Snowflake Administrator position is an entry-level platform administration role supporting secure, reliable, and scalable Snowflake operations. The role focuses on access management, user forum coordination, environment readiness, and on-call support for data replication. This position requires working a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office in Bangalore.

Responsibilities

• Process approved access requests for users, roles, and data access while maintaining accurate change evidence.
• Assist with user lifecycle support including onboarding, role changes, access removal, and account troubleshooting.
• Manage Snowflake user forums, publish service updates, and route issues to appropriate subject-matter experts.
• Complete environment readiness checklists for development, test, and production activities before releases.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to monitor data replication health, perform first-level recovery, and escalate incidents.
• Use GitHub to maintain scripts, configuration, runbooks, and version-controlled documentation.
• Create and update operational support procedures, knowledge articles, readiness checklists, and incident notes.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, data, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Foundational understanding of databases, cloud platforms, identity and access concepts, or data operations.
• Basic SQL skills and ability to learn Snowflake administration tasks.
• Basic familiarity with Git or GitHub, including repositories, branches, and pull requests.
• Strong attention to detail, clear written/verbal communication, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for data replication support.
