Job Description

About the Role

As a Webmethods Developer at Capgemini, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations using webMethods Integration Server (IS). This will involve creating and enhancing Flow Services, Java Services, and Adapter Services, as well as developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP Web Services.

You will also work with webMethods API Gateway for API creation, security, and management, and implement B2B integrations using Trading Networks (TN) and EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations using webMethods Integration Server (IS)
  • Create and enhance Flow Services, Java Services, and Adapter Services
  • Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP Web Services
  • Work with webMethods API Gateway for API creation, security, and management
  • Implement B2B integrations using Trading Networks (TN) and EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT
  • Configure APIs and policies in webMethods API Gateway & Developer Portal
  • Integrate with backend services e.g., databases (NoSQL/SQL), SOAP/RESTful APIs, MQ

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience of configuring APIs, policies in webMethods API Gateway & Developer Portal
  • Experience of working in JSON, REST, SOAP and SQL
  • Knowledge of REST API best practices and API contracts with YAML
  • Knowledge of integration architecture concepts such as API-Led connectivity, Sync/Async, Pub-Sub, Batch
  • Experience integrating with backend services e.g., databases (NoSQL/SQL), SOAP/RESTful APIs, MQ
  • Good understanding of API testing together with analysing technical requirements and issues
  • Working knowledge of AWS/Azure
  • Good understanding of design principles and writing reusable and clean code
  • Good understanding of SDLC methodologies like Agile and Waterfall
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and technology standards
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in Java and webMethods 10.x
