About the Role
As a Mainframe Developer IMS DB to SQL at Capgemini, you'll be working on the migration of legacy IMS databases to modern SQL systems, ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal disruption to existing applications. This role involves hands-on experience with COBOL programming, database design, and software troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities
- Migrate IMS databases to SQL systems, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Design, develop, and test COBOL programs to support database migration and data transfer.
- Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database migration processes and procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the development process.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in COBOL programming language.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
