This role is part of the Statistics & Data team, responsible for managing data acquisition operations related to multiple commodities across global markets. The candidate will work extensively with international government, customs, and freight-movement data sources to ensure accurate, standardized, and high-quality datasets for internal analysis and customer deliverables. Key Responsibilities Acquire and manage commodity-related data across multiple countries through government, customs, and freight-movement sources. Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain credible data sources, including authentic open-source and subscription-based platforms. Ensure timely collection and release of data to maximize value for customers and internal stakeholders. Collate and integrate data from diverse formats and sources into a standardized and homogeneous structure. Perform data sanitization, validation, and quality checks before uploading datasets to client platforms. Support the Manager – Statistics in data visualization initiatives to enable easy interpretation and analysis of data. Handle complex data acquisition and processing activities while continuously improving methodologies and workflows. Train, guide, and mentor new team members and associates to ensure consistency, accuracy, and operational efficiency. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless data flow and reporting processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or MBA (preferred). Required Skills & Competencies Strong experience in acquiring and managing international data from government, customs, and freight-related sources. Ability to identify, validate, and maintain reliable data sources. Proficiency in data collation, standardization, sanitization, and validation across multiple formats. Good understanding of data visualization concepts and analytical reporting. Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality assurance. Ability to learn and manage complex data acquisition processes effectively. Strong communication, coordination, and mentoring skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and data handling tools.
