DevOps Engineer

About the Role

This DevOps Engineer role at Bayer involves designing, building, and operating scalable, secure, and automated AWS-based cloud platforms that meet IT DSO standards.

The ideal candidate will work on enabling reliable product delivery, operational excellence, and platform stability for the squad, while supporting the development and operation of software through automation, tools, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS)
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, containerization, and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless deployment of applications and services
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs and provide DevOps support

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, infrastructure automation, and IaC
• Solid understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles
• Experience working in agile, product-oriented squads
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS, and Chef
