About the Role

As a Platform Engineer- Business Intelligence Admin at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Business Intelligence (BI) platform. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of the BI platform, which involves data analytics, reporting, and visualization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, improve system performance, and implement new features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the BI platform architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for data integration and exchange.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate new features and tools into the BI platform.
• Implement DevOps practices to automate infrastructure deployments, testing, and monitoring.
• Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data by implementing robust security measures.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Shell and Python to automate tasks and workflows.
• Work with the infrastructure team to design and implement scalable and efficient infrastructure deployments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and REST APIs.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ant, Yaml, and Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations.
• Basic understanding of Python programming language.
• Experience with infrastructure deployments using tools such as Ant and Yaml.
