About the Role
As a Credit Analyst in SC & WC Finance, you will be responsible for analyzing creditworthiness of borrowers, evaluating loan applications, and managing credit portfolios. Your day-to-day tasks will involve analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess credit risk. You will also be required to stay up-to-date with market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with credit policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of loan applications, including evaluation of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date credit reports and MIS reports to track portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with underwriters and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Stay current with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to ensure compliance with credit policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other external partners to ensure efficient and effective credit operations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance credit analysis and underwriting skills.
- Contribute to the development of credit policies and procedures to ensure effective risk management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software applications.
- Knowledge of credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Relevant certifications, such as CA or CFA, are a plus.
