Junior Accountant

About the Role

As a Junior Accountant at AVMLabs, you will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day accounting transactions, preparing and processing vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payment entries, and assisting in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities. You will also perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation, maintain accurate financial records and documentation, and assist in monthly and annual financial closing activities. Additionally, you will support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance processes, and coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions, including preparation and processing of vouchers, invoices, receipts, and payment entries.
• Assist in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting records.
• Assist in monthly and annual financial closing activities, including preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.
• Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits, providing necessary information and support.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS-Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, and cost accounting.
• Experience with Tally ERP, a popular accounting software in India.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance processes, including relevant laws and regulations.
