Advanced Software Engineer-Devops

About the Role

This Advanced DevOps Engineer role at Aptiv involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting and monitoring infrastructure in cloud and on-prem environments, and creating and improving automation scripts.

As a DevOps engineer, you will collaborate with developers to optimize release processes, define and enforce DevOps best practices across teams, drive infrastructure cost optimization and scaling strategies, and conduct root cause analysis of system failures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure in cloud and on-prem environments to ensure high uptime and performance.
• Create and improve automation scripts using languages like Python or PowerShell.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize release processes and ensure smooth deployment of applications.
• Define and enforce DevOps best practices across teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Drive infrastructure cost optimization and scaling strategies to reduce costs and improve resource utilization.
• Conduct root cause analysis of system failures to identify and resolve issues quickly.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Working knowledge of cloud basics, including cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
