About the Role

Join American Express as a Financial Analyst and contribute to developing AI-assisted and automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing AI-assisted and automated workflows using Generative AI and rule-based automation approaches.
• Analyze business processes and break down complex problems into logical, automatable components.
• Develop Python scripts for data processing, validation, reporting, and workflow automation.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction, reconciliation, validation, and analytics.
• Support LLM integration into business workflows through prompt design, testing, evaluation, and optimization.
• Work with Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Participate in proof-of-concepts and pilot initiatives involving AI and automation technologies.
• Support deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production automations.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, analytics, and technology teams to deliver business solutions.
• Document processes, workflows, controls, and technical solutions to meet governance and audit requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Applications or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in AI, automation, data analytics, and digital transformation.
• Exposure to business processes, finance, accounting, reporting, operations, or technology through academics, internships, projects, or work experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
