System Development Engineer, XFN (Cross-Border Fulfilment Network)

About the Role
As a System Development Engineer on the XFN (Cross-Border Fulfilment Network) team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the XFN Program by solving technical challenges and improving the infrastructure, operational performance, and stability of the XFN.
You will work closely with a great team of software developers to identify operational needs, develop solutions for customers and services, and drive prioritization of operational issues.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on coding projects primarily in Java and AWS technologies
- Provide software deployment support in staging and production environments
- Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
- Own one or more technical components
- Improve XFN's infrastructure, operational performance, and stability
- Participate in design, code, and procedure reviews
- Identify opportunities arising from technical discussions and make technical trade-offs
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Knowledge of best practices for software deployment
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
What You'll Learn

You will also learn how to troubleshoot, research root causes, and thoroughly resolve defects, and drive pipeline automation and CI/CD.
