Join Altimate AI as a Research Intern and contribute to the development of AI teammates for data and analytics engineers.

Responsibilities

As a Research Intern, you will be working on data science and analysis tasks, focusing on machine learning and NLP using PyTorch and the Hugging Face ecosystem.

• Develop and implement machine learning models using PyTorch and the Hugging Face ecosystem.
• Work on fine-tuning, evaluating, and implementing language models (LLMs).
• Stay up-to-date with recent research papers in the field and implement ideas from them.
• Take a fuzzy problem and return a well-scoped experiment.

What You'll Need

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and the Hugging Face ecosystem.
• At least one prior project involving LLMs - fine-tuning, evals, agents, or RAG.
• Comfortable reading recent papers (NeurIPS / ICML / ACL / EMNLP).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: familiarity with dbt, SQL, or the modern data stack; open-source contributions; prior publications.
