Fund Accountant (Real Estate Investment)

About the Role

In this role as a Fund Accountant (Real Estate Investment), you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records for real estate investment funds. This includes preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with the fund's management team and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and investment account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax laws and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with the fund's management team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

• CA/ICWA/CS or equivalent degree in Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 0-4 years of experience in fund accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with fund accounting software, such as Investran or Aladdin.
