About the Role
As a member of the LCM (Lifecycle Management) Team at Alcon Apprentice Software, you will be working on the development, maintenance, and lifecycle management of software for regulated medical devices. Your day-to-day tasks will involve supporting software development activities, assisting with operating-system patch creation and validation, and contributing to platform upgrades and sustainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support software development, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities.
- Assist with operating-system patch creation and validation.
- Help with device testing, defect management, and issue tracking.
- Contribute to platform upgrades and sustainment of regulated medical-device software.
- Explore emerging technologies, including AI applications in engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development tasks.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software development processes and tools.
