We provide the world's most distributed platform from Cloud to Edge to help the giants of the digital world work faster and stay more secure, making the internet a better experience for everyone   As a Software Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For Designing and developing highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions to meet business objectives Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features Contributing ideas and knowledge to process-improvement sessions to facilitate continuous improvement of our products Do What You Love To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent Have understanding of OOP concepts, proficiency in Python/Java, familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices and SOA Be familiar with frameworks such as Angular, Django, Spring/SpringBoot, Apache Airflow Have exposure to relational and non relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, Cassandra Demonstrate knowledge of Linux OS and command-line tools, Computer Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) Be familiar with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, etc), observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, etc) .
