IT Support Executive

About the Role

This IT Support Executive role at AIMS Institutes involves providing technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff in the computer laboratories, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

As a fresher, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in computer lab management, technical support, hardware maintenance, networking, and campus IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage computer laboratories, ensuring all systems are operational and ready for practical sessions.
• Monitor the functioning of desktop computers, printers, projectors, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and application software.
• Provide technical assistance to students and faculty during laboratory sessions.
• Maintain records of IT assets, software licenses, and laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with institutional IT policies and data security standards.
• Support campus-wide IT initiatives and events.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or ITI – Computer Science / Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) / Information Technology degree.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, printers, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with software installation and system configuration.
• Basic knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python, or database concepts (added advantage).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
