About the Role
This Technical Support Engineer role involves working with Electronic Security and Building Management Systems, including Fire Alarm Systems, Public Address (PA) Systems, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Video Management Systems (VMS), and Video Analytics solutions. You will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining these systems, which requires regular customer interaction, site visits, system inspections, installation support, and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of Fire Alarm Systems, Public Address (PA) Systems, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Video Management Systems (VMS), and Video Analytics Solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Attend service calls and resolve customer issues within defined timelines.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and health checks of installed systems.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution.
- Prepare service reports, installation reports, and maintenance documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP Addressing, Switches, Routers).
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, IT, Computer Science, E&TC, or related fields.
- Basic computer and networking knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV, Fire Alarm, PA Systems, or Security Systems is an added advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and security solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
