About the Role

This AH Automation role is a key position within the Aditya Birla Group, responsible for coordinating automation-related activities, including breakdown and preventive maintenance, implementation of corrective actions, and system modifications. The successful candidate will ensure safe operations for Zone 3 and ensure compliance to ISO 9001 & 14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures.

The role involves routine checking of network, PLC & HMI services, Drives, and taking corrections/corrective actions on abnormalities observed during the routine checks. Additionally, the position is accountable for finding weaknesses and potential risks in the system and planning to remove them.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating automation-related activities, including breakdown and preventive maintenance, implementation of corrective actions, and system modifications.
• Ensuring safe operations for Zone 3 and compliance to ISO 9001 & 14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures.
• Performing routine checks of network, PLC & HMI services, Drives, and taking corrections/corrective actions on abnormalities observed during the routine checks.
• Identifying weaknesses and potential risks in the system and planning to remove them.
• Implementing digital initiatives and looking for opportunities for improvement through digitalization.
• Procuring and installing sensors for digitization of the plant.
• Implementing, enhancing, and maintaining the system, database, and functionalities of the digitalization systems of the plant.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and network services.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Skills in digitalization, data analysis, and prescriptive models.
• Experience with procurement and installation of sensors and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & 14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures.
• Certification in automation or digitalization would be an added advantage.
