Fiber Network Engineer

About the Role

As a Fiber Network Engineer at ACT Fibernet, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% customer service and maintenance of network elements in the designated area. This involves ensuring that switches in the network are maintained as per norms, providing timely connectivity for cross-functional teams, and maintaining the network database.

You will also be expected to attend customer complaints on the field, provide quality resolution within the given timeframe, and monitor NMS through relevant applications to take appropriate action based on events.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure 99.99% customer uptime by maintaining network elements and resolving technical complaints in a timely manner.
• Support timely connectivity for all cross-functional teams by ensuring that switches in the network are maintained as per norms.
• Maintain the network database and submit required reports to the reporting manager on regular intervals.
• Attend customer complaints on the field and provide quality resolution within the given timeframe.
• Monitor NMS through relevant applications and take appropriate action based on events.
• Analyze repeat complaints and ensure implementation of corrective measures through escalations if required.
• Ensure 100% compliance on safety and cardinal rules.

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma/ITI holder in any discipline.
• Hardware & Networking knowledge.
• CCNA certification.
• MCSE certification.
• 0 – 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
